Crash on U.S. 60 kills Brookline man

A Brookline man died in a truck-minivan crash on U.S. 60 in Republic Tuesday afternoon, according to the Highway Patrol.

Logan A. McConnell, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 3:20 p.m. crash.

He was westbound in 2001 Chrysler Town and Country minivan that failed to slow for a turning 2000 Peterbilt rig driven by Tommy L. Stinson, 49, of Fordland. The vehicle hit the rear of the rig.

McConnell was not wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol.
