Dog bites seriously injure 8-year-old boy
An 8-year-old boy is in serious condition after being bitten by a dog this evening in Olathe.
Police said an officer was called about 6:20 p.m. to the 200 block of South Chester Terrace and found the boy, who did not live in the residence, with multiple wounds. He was taken to a hospital.
The dog, a male boxer/Shar Pei, was taken to the Olathe Animal Shelter and will remain there while authorities investigate.
