Man injured in two-vehicle crash

An Ozark man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday in Christian County, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

David Hardy, 54, suffered a broken leg and other injuries in the accident at 9 p.m. at Missouri 14 and Route W, according to the patrol. Police initially believed Hardy was the only driver involved, but a relative at the hospital, Cox South, told them another driver was involved.

Investigators found the license plate of the other vehicle, a pickup truck, at the scene, which is about 1/2 mile east of Ozark. The other driver, a 32-year-old Ozark man, turned himself in at the Ozark police station Saturday.

He told an investigator that the truck was struck by the motorcycle. The pickup truck was northbound on Route W where there is a stop sign at the intersection.

Investigators are reconstructing the accident scene to determine what happened. No tickets have been issued.
