Motorcyclist hit, killed during funeral procession

A man working as a funeral procession escort was killed today after his motorcycle was struck by a SUV in Kansas City.


Police said the man was hit around 10:45 a.m. near the intersection of Independence and White avenues. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead around 3 p.m., police said.
