Motorcyclist killed in wreck near KU campus

A motorcyclist died after he collided with a car near University Drive and Iowa Street shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday, Lawrence police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to a preliminary investigation, the motorcycle apparently crossed the center line, a police spokesman said.
