One serious injury in Stone County collision

Eight people were injured in a two-car collision in Stone County around noon on Sunday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Toby L. Cutbirth was driving northbound on Indian Point Road when he crossed over the center line.

He hit a Chevrolet SUV that contained five members of a Kansas family, driven by Ernest K. Jones of Hutchinson, Kan.

The five Joneses and the three passengers of the other car were transported to Skaggs Regional Medical Center. Only one had serious injuries.
