Rail crossing crash injures Marshfield man
A noontime crash between a sport utility vehicle and a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train in Marshfield resulted in serious injuries to the pickup’s driver, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.
Samuel L. Casey, 59, of Marshfield, was taken to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield after the 12:56 p.m. incident at Webster Lane one mile southwest of Marshfield.
The crash occurred when the northbound 2010 Toyota SUV that Casey was driving failed to yield to the eastbound BNSF train engineered by Ty V. Andrews, 55, of Galena.
