Three people hurt in Illinois 4 accident
A three-vehicle crash on Illinois 4 near Gilmore Road Monday afternoon sent three people to the hospital.
According to Illinois State Police, a vehicle driven by a 56-year-old man from Standard City rear-ended a vehicle driven by an 85-year-old Auburn man about 3:31 p.m. Monday.
The vehicle driven by the elderly man was pushed into another vehicle, police said.
The Standard City man was transported to Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Two passengers in the Auburn man’s vehicle were transported to St. John’s Hospital also with non-life threatening injuries.
The passengers were identified as a 62-year-old woman and an 8-year-old boy, both from Auburn.
The names of the people involved were not immediately available.
