Five students injured when car hits bus

A weather-related crash early Tuesday resulted in minor injuries to five Morrisville school students when their bus was rear-ended by a car.

The students, ranging in age from 8 to 16, were taken to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar after the 7:30 a.m. crash on Missouri 215 five miles west of Morrisville.

The crash occurred when an eastbound 2001 Buick driven by Carol N. Buck, 65, of Walnut Grove, lost control on snow- and ice- covered pavement and hit the rear of the eastbound school bus driven by Michael L. Herrmann, 48, of Walnut Grove.
