Car pileup sends two to hospital

A three-car pile-up at Walnut Street and Lawrence Avenue Wednesday sent two people to the hospital.

Ryan C. McGarvey, 31, of Loami and Jane E. Garmon, 49, of the 1500 block of East Phillips Street were both treated and released from St. John’s Hospital.
James M. Fry, 30, of the 100 block of North 22nd Street was eastbound on Lawrence when he changed lanes and his vehicle rear-ended a vehicle stopped at the light, police said. McGarvey was a passenger in Fry’s vehicle.
Ross E. Trader, 28, also of the 1500 block of East Phillips, was waiting at the intersection when his vehicle was rear-ended by Fry’s vehicle. Trader’s vehicle was pushed into a vehicle driven by Mark A. Palazzolo, 42, of Rochester.
Garmon was a passenger in Trader’s vehicle, which had to be towed.
Fry was cited for speeding. The incident occurred at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday.
