Crash sends one to hospital

One person was hospitalized and another person injured in a crash at Walnut Street and Lawrence Avenue at 7:19 a.m. Tuesday.

Patricia Tatman, 61, of the 1800 block of South Noble Avenue was driving north on Walnut approaching the intersection with a green light when a vehicle attempting to turn east on Lawrence pulled out in front of her vehicle.

James C. Burton, 25, of the 700 block of South New Street said he did not see Tatman’s vehicle when he attempted to turn east on Lawrence.

Burton was treated and released from St. John’s Hospital. He was cited for making an improper left turn and driving without insurance.
