Fatal accident closes part of Kansas 7

A Leavenworth man was killed in a two-vehicle crash about 1:19 p.m. Wednesday on Kansas 7 north of Basehor, the Kansas Highway Patrol said.

Duane F. Lindle, 85, was stopped on the road when he was struck from behind by another vehicle, the patrol said. The other driver was taken to a local hospital, though the extent of her injuries wasn't reported.
