Auburn motorcyclist hospitalized after accident

A 33-year-old Auburn motorcyclist was hospitalized after his bike collided with a vehicle that pulled out in front of him at 11th Street and Bryn Mawr Boulevard on Tuesday.

Shane J. Woods said he braked hard but hit the vehicle, which was driven by Lindsey D. Rhodes, 30, of the 2600 block of Yale Boulevard.

Woods flew off the bike head first and over the hood of Rhodes’ vehicle onto the road. He was treated and released at Memorial Medical Center.

Rhodes was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at an intersection.

The accident occurred at 12:19 p.m. Tuesday.
