Man hospitalized after vehicle hit
A 19-year-old Springfield man whose vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle at Spring Street and South Grand Avenue around noon Sunday was taken to St. John’s Hospital after complaining of back pain.
Ricardo Martinez of the 3100 block of Twin Lake Drive was treated and released.
Shada M. Donaldson, 25, of the 2700 block of South Fourth Street said she was driving behind Martinez’s vehicle when it suddenly stopped for several people who crossed the street.
Martinez said he slowed because two people crossed the street.
Donaldson was cited for speeding.
