Motorcyclist dies after truck turns into his path on Hall Street

A tractor-trailer turned into the path of a oncoming motorcyclist late Thursday night on Hall Street, killing the man on the motorcycle, police say.

The man who died is identified as Kenny L. Doss, 21, of Berkeley. He was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle that crashed at about 11:25 p.m. Thursday in the 4600 block of Hall Street.

St. Louis police did not identify the driver of the tractor-trailer.

Police say Doss was going south on Hall Street, and the tractor-trailer was going north on Hall Street. The tractor-trailer was making a left turn onto East Prairie Avenue, into the path of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle hit the back of the truck. Doss was taken to a local hospital, where he died. The truck driver stayed at the scene and talked with police. He declined medical treatment.

Police say they are still investigating the crash.
