Motorcyclist injured by hit-and-run driver
A motorcyclist was hospitalized in satisfactory condition today at a Springfield hospital after he was struck by a van that drove off Friday in Lawrence County, officials said.
Joshua Homewood, 35, of Aurora was driving north on Route K at 1:05 p.m. when he was broadsided by a van that was westbound on Route ZZ, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol. Homewood was thrown off the motorcycle.
The driver of the van, described as a 2003-2009 GMC blue van, drove off, according to the highway patrol. Homewood was taken to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield where he was listed in satisfactory condition today.
