Two injured at Spring and South Grand
Two people involved in athree-car accident at Spring Street and South Grand Avenue Monday morning were hospitalized.
Dorene Maxwell, 52, of the 2900 block of Taylor Avenue and Connie J. Wankel, 43, of Mason City were treated and released from St. John’s Hospital.
Police said Maxwell, who was heading west on South Grand, ran a red light at the intersection. Her vehicle struck Wankel’s vehicle, then continued forward and hit a vehicle driven by Ronald W. Tallon, 62, of the 2800 block of Findley Drive, who was stopped at a red light.
Maxwell and Wankel’s vehicles were towed.
Maxwell was cited for disobeying a traffic signal.
