KC police name victim of fatal hit-and-run

Kansas City police on Monday identified the victim of a fatal hit-and-run accident Friday as Kelvin R. Brown, 47, of Kansas City.

Brown died just before midnight when he was struck by a dark-colored pickup headed south on the Paseo at 44th Street. The impact knocked Brown 122 feet south, into a grassy area. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

The pickup continued south after the accident.
