Teenage girl struck by vehicle outside Olathe East

A female student suffered minor injuries this morning when she was struck by a vehicle in front of Olathe East High School.

The 14-year-old student was hit about 7:55 a.m. outside the school at 14545 W. 127th Street in Olathe. She was transported to a hospital for treatment, police said.

Police first reported the incident as a hit and run. They said later that the driver of the vehicle left the scene but stopped at a nearby side street and talked to police.
