Two hurt in Lawrence crash
A 70-year-old woman was flown to a Kansas City hospital after she was injured in a wreck Friday night in Lawrence, police said.
The woman was stopped in traffic when a pickup hit the back of her car about 9:06 p.m. and pushed her vehicle into a minivan, which was also stopped in traffic, Sgt. Randy Roberts said.
The 70-year-old's injuries were described as serious. She suffered head and chest injuries.
A woman in the minivan was taken to a hospital, too. Her injures were not considered life-threatening.
