Cassville man struck by car, seriously injured

A 46-year-old man from Cassville was seriously injured about 9 p.m. Wednesday when he was struck by a car on Missouri 76 east of Cassville, according to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Ricky J. Dodson was walking along 76 when he was struck by an eastbound car driven by Suzanne Owings, 75, of Shell Knob, the patrol said.

Dodson was flown to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with injuries the patrol described as serious.
