Lee Summit girl seriously injured when struck by boat's propeller

A 10-year-old Lee's Summit girl was serious injured over the weekend when she fell overboard and was struck by a propeller.

Bobbie J. Brooker was a passenger in a pontoon boat when she fell overboard about 6:30 p.m. Saturday as the boat decelerated near the Lindley Arm of the Pomme de Terre Lake, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol's Water Patrol Division.

The boat ran over her, and she suffered injuries to her torso when she was struck by the propeller.
