Two Johnson County residents injured in Bonner Springs accident

A Shawnee man and a Merriam woman were taken to hospitals after a motorcycle accident today in Bonner Springs.

Richard A. Barr, 49, and Joan Cavlovich, 58, were on a motorcycle driven by Barr that struck the back of a car that had slowed to turn, police reported.

The accident happened shortly before 6 p.m. at Kansas 32 just east of 121st Street, police said.

Cavlovich is listed in good condition, a nurse said, and will be released. Barr's condition was not available.
