Crash seriously injures two people

An injury crash temporary closed eastbound Interstate 70 near the Benton Curve during this morning's rush hour.

The crash occurred shortly after 7 a.m. along I-70 between Prospect Avenue and Benton Boulevard, according to Kansas City Scout. All lanes of the highway were reopened by about 8:10 a.m.

At least two people suffered serious injuries. Further details of the crash were not immediately available.

All lanes of the highway were closed while ambulance, police and firefighters attended to crash victims.

While the highway was closed, traffic was being urged to take Prospect Avenue south to 18th Street and east to I-70.
